Soroptimist was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. Soroptimist loosely translated from the Latin, means best for women. Today Soroptimist International has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.
Our Club and Members
At Soroptimist International of Artesia-Cerritos (SIAC) we currently have about 50 diverse members and are still growing strong. We meet twice a month and anyone is welcome to join our meetings to see what we do.
